By Paul:
"From the first time I came to watch Martha's dance class and witnessed the little four and five year olds clinging to her, I knew any child lucky enough to have her as a mother would be blessed. She is a fountain of love, understanding, and encouragement for every child whether it be our nephews, the children of our dear friends or the little ones taking their first steps in "Beginners Ballet." She has a great gift that is evident to all those at her school, at our church and wherever she goes. It is my reason for wanting to start a family."
Martha moved to New York City to study dance and now considers "The Big Apple" home, loving it's wonderful diversity! After working as a ballet dancer, she now teaches dance to both adults and children, leads the Dance Ministries at our local church, and does the choreography for our Annual Christmas Pageant complete with tap-dancing sheep!
Martha’s Family is close in spirit and geography. She is the oldest of three sisters, and grew up in Pennsylvania where her parents still live. Her Aunt and Uncle are adopted, as are some cousins.
Martha's Childhood was lucky to be grounded by supportive parents. She grew up learning to bake and sew (Mom had a “Home Economics” degree!), enjoying family holiday traditions, playing the flute and going to ballet class a lot!
