Thank you for being brave enough to consider adoption for your child; it takes courage to consider entrusting your child to adoptive parents, and we can only imagine how hard this time is for you. We hope this profile will let you get to know us, the kind of life we can offer your child, and what kind of parents we would be. 

We have been trying to build a family for several years... and with many family members who were adopted, we look forward to welcoming a child into our family!  Our home is full of love, music & laughter and we want very much to share it with a child, surrounding him or her with a wonderful group of family and friends.  Welcomed with joy and thanksgiving into a family which already includes uncles, aunts & cousins who were adopted, your child will find with us a supportive and happy home, full of love and compassion, where she or he can grow up knowing  unconditional love.  

We live in New York City where Paul was born and raised and where Martha moved to study ballet and pursue a career as a dancer. We met in 1999, and have been married since 2001.  We love gathering with friends, visiting family close by, being active in our local church, a progressive and inclusive community that means a great deal to us, and appreciating the great gifts our city has to offer. 

We are certified to adopt by the state of New York and work with an adoption attorney who is an adoptive parent himself and has handled adoptions for over 30 years.  We also work with an adoption agency, Bethany Christian Services, which has handled adoptions for over 50 years.  We can pay legal and medical expenses to the full extent of the law and are open to both "open" and "closed" adoption plans.
